Integrations

Search Console vs. Analytics — what each connection is for

Search Console measures search performance; GA4 measures what happens on your site after the click.

Short answer

Google Search Console measures how your site performs in Google search results (clicks, impressions, queries, rankings). Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures visitor behavior after someone lands on your site (traffic, engagement).

What this means

They're connected together under one "Connect Google" flow but mapped as two separate properties — you can have one without the other, and each powers different recommendations.

What to do

Connect Google once in Settings → Integrations, then map both the Search Console property and the GA4 property to the exact website you're auditing.
