AI Visibility
AI readiness vs. AI visibility — what's the difference?
Readiness checks whether your site is set up to be understood by AI. Visibility checks whether AI assistants actually mention you.
Short answer
AI readiness (Pass/Fail checks) measures whether your site is technically set up to be read and understood by AI systems. AI visibility (Mentioned/Not mentioned) measures whether an AI assistant actually mentioned you in a real test.
What this means
These are two different, separately-evidenced things. A site can pass every readiness check and still not be mentioned in a given AI response — readiness is about your site's setup, not a guarantee of what any AI model will say. The reverse is also true: a mention doesn't mean every readiness check will pass.
Why this happens
AI readiness is deterministic — Growthract checks things it can directly verify (like structured data, crawlability, and content clarity). AI visibility depends on what the AI provider's model actually returns for a specific prompt at a specific point in time — a live, evidence-based observation, not a guarantee.
What to do
Treat readiness fixes as improving your odds, not as a promise of a mention. Check the AI Visibility section for actual observed results.
